Client:

KUBOTA UK & EUROPE

Our task:

PWA APP development

Kubota Construction Division wanted to develop a cost-effective solution to provide owners and operators (particularly users via hire customers) with a digital version of their excavator user manuals.

Fusion proposed a cost-effective PWA (progressive web App )solution that offered the same functionality as a traditional App but with offline capabilities, particularly relevant with operators working often in remote or offline locations.

Kubota’s On-site App provides operators with operating guidelines for all their  construction machine. So far the App includes 35 machines (and counting!) and is available currently in 6 languages.

The App provides key extracts from the Operators manuals including a ‘Quick start guide’, cab layout and controls to routine maintenance, health and safety and a walk around video for each machine.

To-date QR code stickers are now fitted within each cab  of all new machines as standard. Once scanned the operator can access a home screen that provides  a drop-down choice of models and language to select.

The App also provides a prompt to save the app icon on the users phone screen when accessing via their mobile phone.

The Onsite app has become a key component in Kubota’s aftersales proposition to customers, and to date has received visit excellent take up by users
